This biopic promises to do justice to the real life Sarbjit Singh! Read on...
The upcoming biopic, Sarbjit that will be hitting the screens on 20th May this year. Randeep Hooda as Sarbjit Singh has raised our hopes to extremities as the talented actor has never failed to impress. Also with him are two phenomenal beauties in the field of acting, Richa Chadha as Sarbjit's wife and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as his sister Dalbir Kaur. When the first look of the film came up a few days ago, it instantly got us talking about the film not just for the authentic looks of the characters but also because of the finesse in the way the characters have been presented.
The earlier poster that was revealed by team Sarbjit had an intense feel to it as Hooda donned a salt and pepper look with broken pair of spectacles on his face while an old Aishwarya Rai was seen troubled as she ran about seeking justice for her brother. We have now got this new poster of the film where Randeep looks in pain and wretched while Ash is seen angered and devastated at the same time. Directed by Omung Kumar, the film promises a lot of authenticity because of Omung's earlier outing, Mary Kom. Sarbjit is based on the life of an Indian farmer who was convicted of terrorism and espionage by Pakistan who was sentenced to death but he was attacked by his prison inmates in Lahore's prison and soon died in 2013.
