The last episode was the usual mix of plotting, celebration, fact-finding, cliches, weird reactions and more
So far on Sasural Simar Ka, we saw that Prem finally asks Mohini (Pratyusha Banerjee) if she would agree to marry Amar since the latter has fallen for her and Mohini readily agrees. For those who are not aware, Mohini and her mother are both witches and have come to the Bhardwaj house to kidnap Simar's daughter Sanjana to sacrifice the little girl to increase their powers. Obviously the whole marriage thing came as a surprise to Mohini's mother. But after a little hesitation she agrees too.
Later, however, Mohini explains that her engagement with Amar will help them to stay in the Bhardwaj house till their mission is over without any further lies or stories. Once their work is done, they can just leave.
While the Bharadwaj family is celebrating the news, Roli (Avika Gor) and Siddhant (Manish Raisinghan) are at the police station talking to thakurain, who informs them that Mohini and her mother are witches. The two are in shock and refuse to believe it at first but then Roli asks her to prove it. I'm glad at least she's giving the most apt reaction here because I was confused looking at Simar (Deepika Kakar) and Prem's (Dheeraj Dhoopar) reactions when Roli informs them, about the whole thing. So Roli calls up home to give Simar an update on what was happening at the police station. Simar then informs Prem as well and the two are shell shocked because they believe such a thing does not exist. Now, I don't understand their reaction... These are the same people who have witnessed a spirit overpower a body, an icchadhaari nagin, a magical naag mani and I guess something close to a vampire. So why are they so surprised? Anyway...
In the upcoming episode we will see Thakurain coming to the Bhardwaj house with Roli, Siddhant and the police to prove that the mother-daughter duo are a pair of witches. She tells everyone that because of their evil power they become apavitra (unpure), a word she uses atleast 10 times, probably to make sure that everyone understood how 'apavitra' it is to do evil deeds. And then we have the most cliched bit of the show. Thakurain asks Mohini and her mother to enter the temple and do pooja. Really? Oviously the two escape Matarani's (Goddess) wrath because we know that's not how their secret will come out; that's going to happen a little while from now in the Maha episode that combines Swaragini and Sasural Simar Ka.
Stay tuned to find out what really happens in the temple!
