Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim's relationship is not hidden from the world. After the three-year-long courtship, the couple finally made it public, last year. They were always good friends but it was only when Shoaib quit 'Sasural Simar Ka' in 2013 that they realized their love for each other. The couple has been going strong since then and they have now finally decided to tie the knot. In a recent interview with Times of India, Shoaib admitted that they are ready to take the plunge."We plan to get married either in December this year or January next year. I would like to have a winter wedding. Dipika wants a grand nikaah in my hometown Bhopal," he said.
Talking about their relationship, Dipika said in an earlier interview: "Shoaib and I have connected in the most difficult part of each other's life and we have seen distance, we have been away, so the fear of breaking up is not there between us. I always believe that there's a phase in every relationship where you are madly in love in the beginning, then you madly fight and then you cross that to have a very strong relationship. I think we have already crossed the fight stage so now we share a very matured equation and our base is very strong because we love each other a lot and with the matured understanding it just clicks perfectly."
Dipika was married before she entered the industry. Her marriage lasted three years and the divorce came through in January 2015. There were speculations that Shoaib was responsible for her divorce, but she denied the rumors saying she was not dating Shoaib then but it was because of his and her family's support that she coped with the trauma. Shoaib also shared earlier that Dipika extended huge support to his family when his father suffered from brain hemorrhage.
Shoaib's family is very fond of Dipika. The actress, who recently quit Sasural Simar Ka, once admitted that she loves his mother more than him. Their families have always been pushing them to take the next step. Now that Shoaib has bagged a role in Koi Laut Ke Aaya Hai, he seems ready to take the responsibility of a marriage. We wish the couple many more years of togetherness.
