Satyameva Jayate, directed by Milap Zaveri, is an Independence Day release. And from the trailer it was evident that it will be a commentary on corruption. However, considering we have already had several films made on the topic, it remains to be seen as to what more would this film bring to the table. We are currently watching the film at a press show and the film has hit interval point. Here's what we think of the film so far...
Veer (John Abraham) is a self-appointed messiah. He seems to have taken the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in the wrong context. You see, he wants to clean the country by eliminating all the corrupt police officers. And he does this by setting them alight. The common man is happy but the police is not and so DCP Shivansh Rathore is summoned from his vacation. He does his best to stop the killings but doesn't manage to do so. By the time the film hits interval point, we have already witnessed four murders. And it now remains to be seen as to how many more will we be treated to. Veer promises there will be 15 in all.
