When Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt were seen together in Gauri Shinde's Dear Zindagi, people marvelled at their chemistry. In the film, he played the role of her counsellor as she battled emotional issues. Now, MiD Day has reported that Shah Rukh Khan is planning to sign on Alia Bhatt for one of his upcoming productions. A source told the tabloid, "Among the many projects on Red Chillies Entertainment's roster is a woman-led comic-drama. The first round of narration has happened with Alia, who has expressed her interest in the subject. She will hear the final script in the coming months, post which she will sign on the dotted line. The makers have a few directors in mind and will zero in on one soon. The film is likely to go on floors by early next year."
Alia Bhatt is now busy with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi. The film's shoot was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. In the film, she plays the role of the lady don, Gangubai who was famous in the Kamathipura area. It is based on S Hussain Zaidi's book. Alia Bhatt spent the quarantine with beau, Ranbir Kapoor. It seems the shoot of the Bhansali film will start in any time.
Shah Rukh Khan has always been full of praise for Alia Bhatt. On Koffee With Karan in 2016, he said, "Very honest, not just because she is here but when I worked with her dad, for me and I think I said this to her as well, it was a great learning experience because he has got this sub-textual way of working. It was wonderful working with him. It was one of my finest experiences as an actor, as a human being to just work with him, and I learned a lot from him. When I started working with Alia, I genuinely feel she is one of the finest actors of our generation. This isn’t about this generation actually, but she is just a fine actor. She is really really fine. As a matter of fact.., because he is old and he will understand and he’d be very proud, this learning experience with Alia was more than what I did with you, Bhatt sahab."
