Since the Om Shanti Om and Saawariya clash, all we could think about was how Sanjay Leela Bhansali probably feels hurt about that clash since Shah Rukh Khan's film just squashed it in 2007. But turns out we were always wrong. There is nothing amiss between Bhansali and SRK. Even if there was, the two have already made peace with that fact, we assume because recently while speaking to a daily, the director only had good things to say about SRK. He also spoke about the clash between Bajirao Mastani and Dilwale which will happen on December 18 but it is his revelation about the superstar's views on his films that will give you a jolt. SRK finds Bhansali's films emotionally violent.
Talking to the daily, Bhansali recounted, “Shah Rukh Khan has categorically told me, ‘Your films are emotionally violent. They have no action, but there is a lot of emotional violence. My cinema is about finding strength in the most difficult moments. My stories can never be complete; I don’t like completeness. My father’s incomplete story keeps me going. If he was a producer and a fulfilled filmmaker, I would not have had this madness.” We are definitely in awe of this man now. He admits his films are love stories without a predictable happy ending and now we know the reason behind it. But we just loved SRK's way of summing up Bhansali's brand of cinema!
So you see, it's not about who should step down during a clash at the box office that they discuss. But a lot of interesting stuff!
