Gupta had a tough day on Twitter...
We all know how Shah Rukh Khan's Raees avoided a clash with Salman Khan's Sultan (2015) and landed up into another with Hrithik Roshan's Kaabil, when they postponed the release date to Republic Day 2017. Shah Rukh Khan even went to Rakesh Roshan's house, the producer of Kaabil, to avoid the clash. But Rakesh Roshan was against moving the release date of Kaabil. After the debacle of Hrithik Roshan's Mohenjo Daro, many were speculating that Hrithik might want to avoid another clash at the box office. As negative reviews aside, the Hrithik starrer couldn't even open strong at the box office due to Akshay's star power.
Cashing on the debacle of Mohenjo Daro, there were unconfirmed reports of Raees makers launching the trailer in Diwali 2016. But as of now the clash is still on! Yesterday director of Kaabil, Sanjay Gupta took to twitter to announce and re-confirm the release date of Kaabil, which is still Republic Day 2017. He tweeted an image of Kaabil poster with caption in blocks R E P U B L I C D A Y 2017. But little did he expect the SRK fans to troll him after this tweet...
Check the tweet in question below:
As expected this tweet of his retracted trolls, here are few of them:
Sanjay Gupta couldn't take the trolls and tweeted, which he later deleted, referring to SRK fans he urged them to enjoy life like their idol does.
