Read what happened when the Dilwale actor was asked about the controversy his 'good friend' Aamir Khan landed in.
Aamir Khan grabbed headlines last week when he spoke about the burning topic of intolerance in a recently held journalism award ceremony. The actor spoke in length about the safety concerns he have about the people living in the country, and how his wife even discussed moving out of India for the sake of their child.
Naturally, the issue was soon blown out of proportion with political leaders, a few celebs like Anupam Kher, Paresh Rawal, Raveena Tandon, and even many among the masses, slamming the actor for his 'inflammatory' statements. The actor late gave a statement that he stands by all the comments he has made about intolerance but he has NO plans to leave India along with his family. But the jokes and controversies continued, with Shiv Sena even booking tickets for Aamir's family to Pakistan and starting a website where you can slap him!
With so much focus on the issue, even the other celebs were being asked about their opinion on the issue, and most of them have shied away from answering. Recently Shah Rukh Khan was asked for his opinion on the issue. He himself has been at the center of the intolerance controversy when he had given similar comments about intolerance. However, he had not been bashed us much as Aamir had been. So when he was asked to react to this, he simply said, "We will talk about something else!" When he was further prodded to comment on the debate in the parliament on rising intolerance, he still refused to catch the bait by saying, "You better ask them (The MPs)!"
