Shah Rukh Khan reveals that Phurr by Diplo is based on Anushka Sharma's character in Jab Harry Met Sejal

Today, at a lavish event, another track from Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming film Jab Harry Met Sejal was released. This one is titled Hawayein, and has been crooned by Arijit Singh. Pritam has once again done a fab job with the composition. But honestly, if there is one song we are eagerly waiting for it is the song by Diplo in the film. So, we already know that the song is titled Phurr, but anything more than that was kept under wraps, until now. At the launch Hawayein today, SRK was asked to divulge more details about the song by the media, and the actor happily complied with the request. We have seen SRK hangout with Diplo like they are long lost buddies in a few pictures that are going viral. The fact that SRK features in the song made us think that is about his character Harry, but turns out Phurr is about Sejal, Anushka's character, instead. "The song is based on Anushka's character," revealed SRK. He also added that it is an "interesting song" and that he has "done a few steps" in it. "Pritam has worked on with Diplo. I was in LA, so I just heard it," said SRK. Well, having exclusive screenings of songs by Diplo, is just another SRK thing that SRK gets to do.

Phurr won't be the first time Bollywood brought on board an international singer for a special song. For that matter, it won't be the first time that SRK roped in an international singer for his movie. Earlier, Kylie Minogue had sung a song for Akshay Kumar's film Blue in the year 2009. The song was Chiggy Wiggy and ruled the music charts for a few weeks. Also, how can we not mention SRK's collab with Akon for Ra.One. The singer was given the task to sing the lyrics of Chammak Challo in Hindi, and he carried out pretty damn well. The song went on to become a huge hit, with Akon releasing the song as a separate single. I can still dance any given day on Tata Young's rendition of Dhoom title track. Jab Harry Met Sejal, directed by Imtiaz Ali (Highway, Rockstar) releases on August 4.
