Bollywood singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya, who is otherwise known for his melodious voice hits, off late has been part of heated headlines about state affairs and politics of divide. He has been unabashed about his views but his opinions often run into controversies that had resulted in the suspension of his Twitter handle. Multiple times, at that. And he is back at it again and this time he has spoken about Shah Rukh and his fallout with him.
At the India Today Safaigiri Summit and Awards 2018, Abhijeet began to speak about his discord and said, "I made superstars with my voice. Till the time I sang for Shah Rukh Khan, he was a rock star. When I stopped singing for him - and I stopped singing for him - he came down to Lungi Dance." No just that, he also opened up about why he stopped doing playback for King Khan in the first place.
"It was a very small reason I stopped singing for Shah Rukh. In Main Hoon Na, they showed everyone from a spot boy to everyone else, but the singers. The same thing happened with Om Shanti Om. Stars sang Dhoom Tana. It was my voice. But it wasn't shown anywhere. The self-respect was hurt. Why should I ask them to add my name? The problem is I don't lack anything. So why should I ask for this?" said the singer. If you are not in know, Abhijeet has sung some beautiful numbers for the actor including Chalte Chalte and Main Koi Aisa Geet Gaaun. Well, we wonder if SRK has anything to say about this. Stay tuned to get more updates on the same.
