Today is February 14. For those in love and relationships, they celebrate it as Valentine's Day. For everybody else (read: singles), it's a Tuesday. While many couples around us will be making plans or giving surprises to their better halves, there are high chances some of us, singles will be cribbing about being single and cursing this day. Well, sulk no more. Even though Hindi films have been celebrating love through most of the films. In fact, all of the Hindi films have to have a love angle. But there are many filmmakers who understand the pain of single people and made films that celebrate singlehood or will make you feel proud of being single.
So while you are celebrating this Valentine's Day with yourself, binge watch these five films and be happy that you are single
Kangana Ranaut starrer this film celebrates singlehood like no other has done. The film tells the tale of Rani, an under-confident Punjabi girl from New Delhi, who embarks on her honeymoon to Paris and Amsterdam by herself after her fiancé calls off their wedding. The film is all about loving yourself and that there's more to you than a failed relationship.
While many consider this a tragic love story of love lorns, many are of opinion that it glorifies stalking and is a stalker movie passed on as a love story. Well the jury is still out on, whether the film is a love story or stalker drama. One thing that one should take away from this film is never ever fall in love with the one that doesn't love you back. One should know when to take a step back or else you know the fate of Kundan in the film.

Shah Rukh Khan came a full circle since his Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa days when he became a shrink to Alia Bhatt's character in Dear Zindagi. After failing many a times in love, it's Dr Jag who teaches her the value of life and how it's okay to fail in love and being single. Highly recommended.
