Guess it's high time we stop fussing about Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh's cold war. I mean, although we agree initially they were facing huge ego clashes over their casting in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati. But one look at this recent Twitter exchange and you'll be like - did they ever fallout? No seriously! It all started with Shahid making the first move by tweeting luck to Ranveer on Twitter this afternoon as he wrote, "Ranveer Vaani and team #Befikre wishing you guys all the luck for the release today." This was obviously a really sweet gesture coming from Shahid, especially at a time when there's so much being written about his differences with Ranveer. But having said that, it's Ranveer's reply that'll further win over your hearts as he wrote, "Thank you brother. trust you are 'holding fort'! see you soon !" Just in case you didn't get it, 'holding your fort' is with reference to the story of Padmavati where Ranveer plays the aggressive warrior Allauddin Khilji who tries to conquer Raja Rawal Ratan Singh's (played by Shahid) fort. So does this Twitter exchange come enough for you to believe that there's no fight between Shahid and Ranveer?
Not to forget, even during a recent media interaction, Shahid had clarified how he feels absurd about the fallout rumours coz he never had a fallout with Ranveer in first place. He had said,"This is the stuff I've been reading in papers and I find it absurd when they say it is 'two hero' film. The film has three principle characters. These are just ways of creating some kind of material which is exciting at some frivolous level." In fact, in another interview, Sasha had even spoken in length about why people should stop creating rifts every time there is a two hero project as he had said, " What is there to be insecure about? Thinking that somebody will be better than you? That’s a real loser attitude. If somebody will be great in a film, they will be adding more credibility to a product that you are a part of. It’s only beneficial, right? Have you ever seen Usain Bolt run his best in a heat? Never! Why? Because he has no competition there. Why does he give his best always in the finals? Because he knows he has competition. He will never break his world record in a heat. He will break it when he’s running with the best. So to be your best, you have to be pitted against the best. People who don’t get that are just dumb."
