The actor says he is looking forward to more TV shows, but not as a judge...
Shahid Kapoor made his small screen debut with Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa last year. This year, Jacqueline Fernandez has replaced him on the show. Although one of the major reasons behind him copping out happens to his wife Mira Rajput’s impending delivery that happens in September, the actor told us he isn’t looking forward to judging TV shows anymore.
"I felt I was a misfit as a judge on the show. I loved hosting the show for those few episodes I did. But when you have such talented dance gurus sitting, it becomes very awkward for me to judge anyone. I don’t think I am that big yet," smiled the modest actor.
But there’s another issue that bothered him on the show. Shahid laughs, "I cannot say bad things to anyone and it was very difficult for me to criticise anyone’s performance." Does that mean he has bid goodbye to TV for good? “No, I would be happy to do shows where I get to host them. Judging is not on my mind right now."
On the films front, Shahid is riding high on the success of Udta Punjab and is now waiting for the release of Rangoon. He has currently taken a break to be with wife Mira Rajput as they are expecting their first child this September. We hear that the actor wants to spend a few months with the baby after it is born, post which he will sign more films.
In the meantime, he might get some TV offers too and he may just be seen on a show again soon. Won't that be great? Till then check out what Farah Khan thought about Shahid Kapoor's stint on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa in the video right here:
