Shame! Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor's Jagga Jasoos team films a rain sequence amidst drought woes!

Ex flames Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif are busy shooting for their forthcoming film Jagga Jasoos. And recently they shot for a rain sequence in the film and yes they emptied two water tankers nearly 20,000 liters water for the scene. Yes you heard it right! And this news has literally SURPRISED everyone that how can the makers do such a major water wastage when Maharashtra is facing a drought.

As per reports in the leading daily, “Ranbir and Katrina filmed a 12 hour rain sequence for the film. The sequence was somewhat like this, there was a puchkawala and nimboo paaniwaalah, a train running through town, cabs and cars with West Bengal number plates. Umbrellas were also in plenty. And Katrina and RK held bags over their heads and raced to take shelter by a roadside book stall”.

As reported in the Times of India, a quote said, “It was a hot, sunny day in Mumbai and there were two tankers on the set. Water from them gushed out through pipes to bring on the artificial rain as revealed by Mirror photographer Raju Shelar. “One pipe splashed water on the road to create monsoon puddles,” he added.

But the genuine concern is when the rest of the country and many people from Bollywood itself are trying their level best to safe water than what’s wrong with the makers of Jagga Jasoos. Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor’s upcoming Baaghi too have a romantic rain sequence in the film, but the makers of the film shot the scene in the natural rains and managed to not do the wastage of water.

Apart from Baaghi, reportedly the makers of Riteish Deshmukh’s upcoming film Banjo decided to re work a Ganpati visarjan sequence, editing the scenes that would entail wastage of water. The sequence originally had Riteish immersing the Ganesh idol but for that he would have had to waste water, but Riteish pointed out the wastage of water and understanding the seriousness of water crisis in the State, the makers opted for dhol and dance instead to create a festive revelry without compromising the look or feel.

Wonder why the Jagga Jasoos makers didn’t come up with such ideas, or rather they are least bothered about the drought in Maharashtra? What are your thoughts share in the comments section below..
