On Monday night, both Ranbir Kapoor and Vaani Kapoor were spotted at the airport as they left for their movie Shamshera's shoot. The Kapoor lad looked exhausted and tired while Vaani was all smiles for the shutterbugs present. They jetted off to an unknown location for the film's shoot. And now we know where they were headed to. According to a DNA report, Vaani and Ranbir are currently in the union territory of Ladakh for Shamshera's shoot. They will be shooting for the film with their crew members. The makers chose this destination as they wanted to add more visual appeal to the film.
The lead actors are in Ladakh for a 10-day schedule and it is said that important portions of Shamshera will be shot there. Makers aren't willing to divulge more details about the Ladakh schedule. However, a source informed DNA, "Shamshera will have the most breathtaking visual experience that cine-goers have seen on screen. Director Karan Malhotra wanted to shoot some of the most crucial portions in Ladakh because it would add to the visual appeal of the film. Ranbir Kapoor and Vaani Kapoor left Mumbai a couple of days ago and will start shooting for the film today. Since the movie is looking to transport viewers back to a period, huge sets have been built to recreate an era where Ranbir is pitted against Sanjay Dutt."
The Karan Malhotra directorial is an action-adventure film and it is set in the 1800s. Shamshera is based on the life of a dacoit which will be essayed by Ranbir. The Kapoor lad apparently has a double role in the film. As for Vaani, she plays the role of a travelling performer while Sanjay Dutt is the antagonist.
Shamshera is slated to release on July 30, 2020. Are you excited to watch it? Tweet @bollywood_life and let us know.
