Sidharth Malhotra has wrapped up work on Milap Zaveri's Marjaavan. After a short break in the Maldives, he underwent look transformation for the role of Kargil hero, Vikram Batra for the upcoming biopic, Shershaah. Today, the makers announced that the shoot will start soon. The project is very close to the handsome hunk's heart. It will be directed by Vishnu Vardhaan. Vikram Batra, a fearless officer died during the Kargil War. He was nicknamed as Sher shaah by the Pakistani forces. Captain Vikram Batra was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra by India's then-president KR Narayanan. He died during the Kargil War after leading one of the toughest operations in the history of Indian mountain military operations. In April, Sidharth Malhotra shared a picture of him training with a gun for the film's shoot.
The film is expected to release in early 2020. The hunk revealed that he was obsessed with weapons in an interaction with Mid-Day. He told the tabloid, "It will involve a lot of weaponry. I'm obsessed with weapons. My father had got me a pellet gun, the kind that was used in Home Alone(1990), and I was obsessed with that. So, I'm excited to try different weapons for it." Before that, we will see him in Jabariya Jodi and Marjaavan.
Jabariya Jodi has him pairing again with his Hasee Toh Phasee co-star Parineeti Chopra. Fans named them as #SidNeeti after the film. Sidharth is also getting into the pucca Bollywood genre with Milap Zaveri's Marjaavan that also stars Tara Sutaria and Riteish Deshmukh. He is also rumoured to be dating Tara, his Marjaavan co-star. She said that it is fun, exciting and cute to be linked to Sidharth Malhotra. However, he has maintained that he is single in reality and focusing on his career.
