Not too long ago, we asked you'll to vote and tell us if Sid's upcoming film will beat the opening weekend record of Jr Dhawan starrer ABCD 2. Well, the votes are in and the result isn't too surprising...
So far this year has been quite amazing for Varun Dhawan. First, the B-town hunk broke his romantic hero image with Badlapur and now he has charmed many with his dance moves. Yes, I am talking about his latest release ABCD 2 which has been running in the theatres for over a week now and has already broken quite a few records. Co-starring Shraddha Kapoor, this Remo D'Souza directorial which hit the screens on June 19 is not only the highest opener of this year but the dance film has also recorded the highest opening weekend collection. After witnessing a good opening, Varun starrer went on to gross Rs 46.35 crore in the first three days which is mighty impressive. While the sequel of Any Body Can Dance is still going rock steady at the ticket windows, soon we'll see VD's first co-star Sidharth Malhotra grace the big screen too.
The Ek Villain actor's much-awaited film Brothers is slated to release on August 14 and thereefore we decided to conduct a poll on our website recently. We asked you all to vote and tell us if Sidharth starrer Brothers will break the opening weekend record of Varun's ABCD 2. Well, 78 percent of the voters said YES whereas 22 percent of the voters said NO. This means most of you believe Brothers will easily rake in more than Rs 46 crore in its first weekend.
Frankly speaking, even I feel the same. After all, Brothers is backed by Karan Johar and also co-stars Akshay Kumar and Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead. Touted as one of the biggest releases of this year, the Sidharth starrer is expected to break records at the box office. So the verdict isn't shocking at all!
