Shakun Batra's Kapoor and Sons Since 1921 has been hogging headlines ever since the announcement of its interesting star cast. For the first time after Student of the Year, real life couple Sidarth and Alia will be cast opposite each other in the film.
Also, the news of B-town's latest heartthrob Fawad Khan playing a gay character in the film has been rounds. Now we hear that the three lead stars of the film, Sid-Alia-Fawad will croon a song for the film. The song is said to be fun youthful number. Earlier only Alia and Fawad were supposed to sing the song, but the latest development is that Sid will also be joining them in the recording room.
While Alia has shown her singing prowess in films like Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Highway, and Fawad is already a singing sensation back in Pakistan, this song will mark Sidharth's singing debut. "Yes, currently we are in the process of locking a track. Karan has some exciting ideas for the promotional unit and I am looking forward to getting to shoot with all of them again", said director Shakun Batra.
"They are looking for a fun track with a young, energetic vibe like the film. Sidharth is yet to make his mark musically but Shakun doesn't expect him to go in for any kind of training as this is not serious singing. He wants to keep it casual and fun”, a source from the film unit disclosed.
