Today, SIIMA honors the best of Telugu and Kannada films of last year, while tomorrow it is Tamil and Malayalam cinema!
SIIMA awards 2016 that is being held at Singapore this year celebrates the best of Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam cinema.
The award ceremony that is being held across two days, with day one that is today, honoring the best of Telugu and Kannada films of last year. Mahesh babu won the Best Actor award for Srimanthudu in Telugu, while Puneeth Rajkumar got the same for his performance in Ranavikrama in Kannada. Shruti Haasan got the Best Actress award in Telugu for Srimanthudu, while Rachita Ram got it for Kannada for Ranna. Allu Arjun got the Best Actor Critics award for his performance in Rudhramadevi, while Anushka Shetty got the Best Actress Critics for the same film.
The Best film (Telugu) went, unsurprisingly to Baahubali which also bagged the Best Director's award for SS Rajamouli. The Best Film (Kannada) went to Mythri, while actor Upendra got the Best Director's award for Uppi 2.
Megastar Chiranjeevi was felicitated for his upcoming 150th cinema in a grand style.

Best Director Award - SS Rajamouli for "Baahubali" (Telugu) and Upendra for "Uppi 2."

Best Supporting Actor (Male): Rajendra Prasad for "Srimanthudu" and Pannaga Bharana for "Kendasampige."
Best Supporting Actor (Female): Ramya Krishna for "Baahubali" (Telugu) and Tejaswini Prakash for "Goolihatti" (Kannada).
Best Actor in Negative Role - Rana Daggubati for "Baahubali" (Telugu) and Saikumar for "RangiTaranga" (Kannada).
Best Comedian Award - Vennela Kishore for "Bhale Bhale Magadivoy" (Telugu) and Chikanna for "Masterpiece" (Kannada).
The Lifetime Achievement Award: S Janaki.
The South Sensation of the Year: Sudheer Babu.
Best Debutant Male: Akhil Akkineni for "Akhil" (Telugu) and Vinay Rajkumar for "Siddhartha."
Best Debutant Female: Pragya Jaiswal for "Kanche" (Telugu) and Manvitha Harish for "Kendasampige."
Best Debutant Producer: Vijay Reddy and Sashidev Reddy for "Bhale Manchi Roju"
Best Debutant Director: Anup Bhandari for "RangiTaranga" (Kannada) and Anil Ravipudi for "Pataas"(Telugu).
Most Streamed Song of The Year Award: Devi Sri Prasad for "Rama Rama" song in "Srimanthudu" (Telugu) and Arjun Janya for "No Problem" in "Vajrakaya" (Kannada).
Best Music Director:Devi Sri Prasad for "Srimanthudu" (Telugu) and Arjun Janya for "Vajrakaaya" (Kannada).
Best Choreographer Award: Jani for Telugu movie "Temper."
Best Cinematographer Award: Senthil Kumar for "Baahubali" in Telugu
Best Lyricist Award: Anup Bhandari for "Ee Sanje" in "RangiTaranga" and "Sirivenella Sitarama Shastri" for "Kanche."
Best Playback Singer (Male): Sagar for "Jatha Kalise" in "Srimanthudu" and Santhosh Venky for "Raja Rani" in "Rhatee."
Best Playback Singer (Female): Satya Yamini for "Mamatala Talli" in "Baahubali" and Inchara Rao for "Kareyole" for "RangiTaranga."
