Simbu starts shooting for Tamil remake of Attarintiki Daaredhi in Georgia – all deets here

The shooting of the film went on floors today in Georgia and Simbu has begun shooting for his portions in the film.

Pawan Kalyan starrer Attarintiki Daaredhi is being remade in Tamil with STR aka Simbu in the lead role. The film is yet to be titled and is being bankrolled top production house Lyca Productions. The directorial tasks are handed to Sundar C. The shooting of the film went on floors today in Georgia and Simbu has begun shooting for his portions in the film. Reportedly, these scenes are the introduction scenes of the lead actor. The makers are yet to confirm the rest of the cast in the film.

The original in Telugu had Pawan Kalyan playing a billionaire who is on a mission to bring back his aunt, played by Nadia, into the family. Attarintiki Daaredhi is one of the biggest hits in the career of Pawan Kalyan and earned a collection of more than Rs.100 crore. The film was directed by Trivikram Srinivas and starred Samantha Akkineni and Pranitha Subhash as the leading ladies. On the other hand, Simbu currently has Mani Ratnam’s Chekka Chivantha Vaanam which is a multi-starrer. Besides STR, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam also stars Jyothika, Arvind Swami, Vijay Sethupathi, Aditi Rao Hydari, Aishwarya Rajesh and Arvin Vijay in other lead roles. Simbu also the political thriller Maanadu which will be directed by Venkat Prabhu.
