Looks like the makers of Vijay 60 want to continue pleasing his kiddie fans...
Prior to fantasy film Puli's release, director Chimbu Deven was excited because it was a film that could cater to anybody, including kids! Then there was Theri where Vijay played a father to an adorable little girl called Nainika. The father-daughter scenes in the film were a major hit and struck a chord with the audience. In fact, the phrase 'Baby Theri' picked on after this film's release. And looks like, Vijay is not going to stop mingling with kids anytime soon. That's why they have signed on a six -year old girl from Chennai, Monica Siva. According to reports she will be playing an important role in this movie.
Further to the reports, a source in the team revealed the following-"Monica's role is not similar to what Baby Nainika had in Theri. She plays the daughter of the heroine's (played by Keerthy Suresh) sister in the film. Her characterisation will be unique, and she has a lot of combination scenes with Vijay, which will be cute."
Apart from this movie, Monica will be part of a few other films as well. There's Sibiraj's Kattapava Kaanom and then the children's film - Sangu-chakkaram and reportedly two other untitled projects. Wow, She hasn't even started and her plate is already full. Way to go Monica!
Vijay's upcoming movie Vijay 60 is directed by Bharathan of Aththi fame under producer Venkatram Reddy.. The film also stars Keerthy Suresh in a lead role. Actor Jagapathi Babu of Lingaa fame plays the antagonist. Recently, he had mentioned how excited he was to work with Vijay as, way back in time his father and VIjay's father used to collaborate to make South Indian movies. The music is by Santhosh Narayanan of Kabali fame.
