Former preseident, APJ Abdul Kalam, passed away today, on July 27, in Shillong while delivering a lecture to the IIM Shillong student. In the middle of his lecture, Kalam fell to the floor and was immediately rushed to a nearby Bethany hospital where he was put on oxygen masks to be revived. However, a while later, the doctors announced his death. Dr John Sailo, director of Bethany hospital informed a leading daily, "He was brought into hospital without a pulse or BP. There was no sign of life."
The whole nation is gripped in grief over the demise of the Bharat Ratna. B-Town celebs Sonakshi Sinha, Ajay Devgn and Dhanush took to Twitter to express their distress.
