No Bollywood for Sanjay Dutt's daughter Trishala
Sanjay Dutt had once said famously, “I’ve invested a lot of time and energy to put her in a good college and she has done very well. She has specialised in forensic science… And I think that’s the great thing to do. Even if she wants to join the industry, she has to learn Hindi because American (English) will not work here. It is not easy to be an actor. It looks easy but it is quite difficult. If Trishala wanted to be an actress and I wanted to break her legs.” He was speaking to IANS while promoting Bhoomi where he played a father to Aditi Rao Hydari. Clearly, Sanjay is averse to the idea of Trishala joining Bollywood and it seems, his daughter seconds it. She recently revealed on Instagram she has no interest in debuting in films. Ajay Devgn to do a sports biopic
Looks like Ajay Devgn is on a film-signing spree and that too in the biopic genre. After announcing Chanakya a few days back, the actor has announced yet another biopic. The untitled biographical sports drama is based on India’s legendary Football coach Syed Abdul Rahim. The film will be directed by Amit Sharma, who recently wrapped the shooting of his debut directorial venture Badhaai Ho featuring Sanya Malhotra and Ayushmann Khurrana. Elaborating on the same, co-producerBoney Kapoor told TOI, “I was amazed that not many are aware of someone as significant as Syed Abdul Rahim. He’s an unsung hero whose achievements must be saluted. His team had heroes like Chunni Goswami, P.K. Banerjee, Balaram, Franco and Arun Ghosh. It takes someone like Ajay Devgn to play Syed Abdul Rahim. With him on board, I can just hope that our film inspires youngsters to play football, and India soon to bring the World Cup home.” Well, watching Ajay Devgn as a Football coach will definitely be a treat to all the movie buffs.
Nagarjuna returns to Bollywood with Brahmastra
South superstar Akkineni Nagarjuna, who has appeared in films like Angaarey and Criminal is all set to make a comeback in Bollywood with Ayan Mukerji’s superhero fantasy drama Brahmastra. The 48-year old actor will join acting stalwarts like Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Mouni Roy for this mega project. As per the Deccan Chronicle report, “Nagarjuna wanted to do a Hindi film from a long time, but was looking for an interesting project. He finally gave his nod to this one." Nagarjuna, who made his Bollywood debut with Ram Gopal Varma’s Shiva in 1990, was last seen in JP Dutta’s LOC Kargil, which was released 15 years back. Now that's definitely a huge addition to Brahmastra's star power, isn't it?
