Script was NOT changed to accommodate Kareena's pregnancy...
We so adore Sonam Kapoor in women centric films. She impressed us with her power packed performance in Neerja. And now, she is all set for another women oriented film titled Veere De Wedding. The movie has been in the news for many reasons. Kareena Kapoor Khan will flaunt her baby bump in the film. The Jab We Met actress announced her pregnancy post the announcement of the film. While the popular thought was that film's script and Kareena's character had to be changed due to the her pregnancy, Sonam reveals that it is not the case. Kareena's character was supposed to be pregnant in the film, and her real life pregnancy actually helped them in many ways.
Sonam, while talking a news daily said "If Kareena had not gotten pregnant, we'd have had to use prosthetics for her character to look pregnant. So in many ways, her pregnancy is God-sent for our film. Lolo (Karisma Kapoor), Bebo (Kareena), my sister Rhea and I have always been close. Bebo is one of my favourite actresses. It's a pleasure to work with her."
Confirming Kareena's pregnancy Saif had released a statement in June 2016.“My wife and I would like to announce that we are expecting our first child in December. We would like to thank our well wishers for their blessings and support and also the press for their discretion and patience.” read the statement.
