P.S. Wait till you finish to watch the film!
A film that has moved many after its release on Friday is sure to make you weep whenever you plan to watch it and this is coming from a firsthand experience, really!
Sonam Kapoor’s film has made a mark on the rising trend of biopics, which commenced last year and is still ongoing in our film industry. Amidst this Atul Kasbekar’s production and Ram Madhvani’s directorial chops came as a fresh breeze with Neerja. The film revolves around the life of Neerja Bhanot, a flight attendant for Pan Am, based in Mumbai, who lost her life while saving 359 passengers from terrorists on-board the hijacked Pan Am Flight 73 on 5 September 1986. Although the film’s prime focus is the hijack incident, the way Mr. Madhvani has juxtaposed Neerja’s personal life story to the entire incident is something to look out for in the film. It will definitely leave you with goosebumps.
But that is not what the surprise element consists of. Towards the end of the film, when the credits roll on the screen, you can see unseen pictures of Neerja Bhanot on one side of the screen. Trust me Neerja was just like you and me and what she did at that point of time in her life while maintaining her sanity is something that many of us won’t be able to do. Atul Kasbekar has urged the audience to wait until the movie finishes just so that they can see those pictures. “Can I urge people watching #Neerja to wait for the end credits to see Neerja Bhanot's images. It's worth it, trust me," he tweeted!
If you haven’t seen the film, please go WATCH it now.
