While December 18 is the day all fans are waiting for as Shah Rukh Khan's Dilwale takes on Ranveer-Deepika-Priyanka's Bajirao Mastani, December 4 was supposed to be the date for a superhot box office clash.
Sunny Leone's sex comedy Mastizaade and Zareen Khan's hot thriller Hate Story 3 were scheduled to lock horns on December 4. Since both these films fall in adult genre, a lot of fans were eagerly waiting to see how this clash of hotties pans out at box office. But alas, Hate Story 3's clash with Mastizaade has been averted.
The Karan Singh Grover, Zareen Khan and Sharman Joshi starrer, Hate Story 3, will release as per schedule on December 4 and the Sunny Leone, Tusshar Kapoor, Vir Das and Riteish Deshmukh adult comedy Mastizaade will now release mid-January 2016.
If sources are to be believed, Bhushan Kumar requested Pritish Nandy if he can please postpone the release of his adult comedy and not release it on December 4 since both films being adult genre films would eat into each other’s collections. Since Pritish and Bhushan have a long standing relationship based on mutual respect and affection and Bhushan has released most of the music of PNC films in the past, Pritish agreed to Bhushan’s request.
