What do we say about Ananya Panday? She is a total Pataaka, just like her character Shreya from Student of The Year 2. The gorgeous 20-year-old actress is making her big screen with the 2012’s sequel of the same name (minus 2). She is unpretentious, she is feisty and at the same time, she is sassy AF. The actress is currently gearing up for the release Student of the Year 2 and is busy with the promotions. Her character, Shreya was appreciated by the audience and just from the trailer we could know that the actress is here to take the industry by the storm.
Interestingly, the actress already has one more film in her kitty which is Pati Patni Aur Woh alongside Kartik Aaryan and Bhumi Pednekar. To add to it, the film much like her debut, SOTY 2 has a love triangle in it. So, during a media interaction, the actress was asked what is her favourite genre? Her reply is not a surprise. The actress just like her father is inclined towards comedy genre or rom-com genre. The actress said ‘’This (Student of the Year 2) is rom-com, but I like pure comedy more. I think comedy like Pati Patni Aur Woh, that kind of plug. Pati Patni Aur Woh I think will come out on December 6th. So, yeah that is more like my favourite’’
Even before her first film came out the actress has shot for the second one and Ananya elaborated on the same saying, “It an amazing feeling and Juno Chopra who is the producer of the movie, he saw some rushes of the film(Student of the Year 2) and he really like me and so I happened to be a part of this film. And it’s a very very different film from Student, we only shot three days and will continue the shoot from July now. But I find it really hard because my debut film hasn’t come out, what people like and what people don’t like So, that was what I was struggling with, I felt like I was just shooting for my debut film itself.’’
The young actress heaped praises about her PPAW co-star Kartik Aaryan. She said, “Shooting with Kartik was so nice because he is such a selfless actor. He doesn’t think about oh mere lines jyada hai(I have more lines) and what your lines! He just thinks about how to make the scene better. Even if he doesn’t have any dialogues he will help me, with my dialogues. So, I think that way, it was really nice. I have not shot with Bhumi yet, but I am super excited.”
When the reported highlighted that both her films have a love triangle, here’s what the actress has to said, “I think I attract love triangles.” When questioned whether she was apprehensive that both have the love triangle she said, I don’t think so much I just really loved the script and I wanted to be a part of the film. I wanted to work with good actors and good directors and good production houses. I don’t think anything else matters. If I keep going back to this then I won’t be able to do good work.”
Anyway, Shreya will see you in theatres on 10th May.
