Earlier, the makers of Student Of The Year 2 introduced us to the batch of 2019 in the form of a kickass trailer featuring Tiger Shroff along with debutantes Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria and it was everything we had expected and more. It gave us a peek into how the fresh crop will contest the challenge of the decade and it didn't look easy. Apart from the fact that it was high on entertainment, the highlight of the trailer was undoubtedly Tiger Shroff's punch-packed dialogues. His one-liners had swag and its already a rage among the youth.

Soon, the Jawaani song was out and the hype hit the roof for all the right reasons. It was fun, peppy and hit the party nerve right. Also, it was the best-remixed number we have seen in a long time. While that is that, another song from the album titled, Mumbai Dilli Di Kudiyaan is out and guess the makers were going for the same vibe(?) Cause, this composition by Vishal Shekar also tries to be fun and peppy, except it falls flat. Crooned by Dev Negi, Payal Dev and Vishal Dadlani, the track looks like a shaadi setting where the students can be seen in immaculate Manish Malhotra creations, dancing to their heart's content. And while Tiger's nifty moves are a must watch and Tara-Ananya try their best to match his steps, it is extremely forgettable. You can watch the video here.
Talking about SOTY2, it is directed by Punit Malhotra, who previously helmed films like I Hate Luv Storys and Gori Tere Pyaar Mein. It is produced under the banner of Dharma Productions and will be distributed by Fox Star Studios. SOTY2 is scheduled to hit the screens on May 10. Earlier, the film had garnered headlines because of none other than Will Smith. Mainly because he took us back to 2012, with his rendition of Radha in the film, where he matched steps with Tiger and the newbies. Smith shot for the song on his last visit to India. The Hollywood actor recently shared a behind-the-scenes video, wherein he is seen practicing for his performance and boy, it looked like he was born to be a Bollywood dancer.
BL Says: Honestly, this looks and sounds like this could have been any Dharma song in any Dharma film with any Dharma actor. Although we know it's going to blast stereos in nightclubs, there is so little to enjoy in this one.
