After working with legends like Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan in the past, Sridevi is now sharing screen with this generation's superstars
In the 70's and the early 80's, Sridevi was quite a name to reckon with in Tamil cinema. Often paired opposite Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth, Sridevi bid adieu to Tamil cinema when she was in her peak.
And now that she is making a grand comeback to Kollywood with Puli, Sridevi is sharing screen with this generation's superstar Vijay. Also, in the Tamil version of English Vinglish, Ajith had played a small cameo sharing screen with the evergreen diva. On being asked about her experience on working with these superstars, Sridevi said," It’s nice of these popular actors like Ajith and Vijay to share screen space with senior actors like us. I mean, I worked with Ajith in English Vinglish, and though it was cameo, he was so much fun to work with. The same applies to Vijay as well.”
“Vijay is very organised on the sets; mostly quiet. There’s no discussion; no arguments. He works with so much passion and that’s so encouraging for the co-stars,” she added. If you read between the lines, Sridevi seems to have tried to stay diplomatic and has really weighed her words before speaking. It seems like Sridevi was too careful not to irk the fan bases of Ajith and Vijay by not favouring one actor over the other.
