Despite the mixed reviews, Tiger Shroff - Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria's Student Of The Year 2 has crossed the Rs 50 crore mark at the box office. As expected, the release of De De Pyaar De has affected the collections of the campus entertainer. It collected Rs 2.25 crore on Saturday and Rs 2.75 crore on Sunday. Now, the total collections stand at Rs 64.52 crore. While it is a reasonably successful debut for the girls, Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria, the film has underperformed in comparison to Tiger Shroff's stardom. In the film, he plays the role of Rohan Sachdeva who follows his childhood sweetheart, Mridula Chawla into the prestigious St. Teresa's College leaving behind the 'middle-class' Pishorimal College. The highlights of the film are Tiger Shroff and Ananya Panday's acting, some good music and the breezy vibe.
People liked Ananya Panday as Shreya in the film. Student Of The Year had come out in 2012 and the next one in the franchise is seven years later. The makers have labelled it as a summer time hit. Student Of The Year 2 has done better in metros than in small towns.

BollywoodLife in its review wrote, "The actors power the film, which is extremely frothy and superficial. Tiger Shroff is earnest and his comic scene with Gul Panag is a laugh riot. You will see a new side of Tiger that is quite refreshing. Tara Sutaria is gorgeous and expressive. Coming to Ananya Panday, she has some of the best punchlines in the film and displays a comic flair that would make dad Chunky Panday proud. Aditya Seal pulls off his role as the egoistic, condescending and aggressive Manav effortlessly. He is a sheer joy to watch." Stay tuned to BollywoodLife for more scoops and updates!
