Just a day ago we learnt about Kartik Aaryan buying a Lamborghini Urus for a whopping Rs 4.5 crore and now another Bollywood star has made quite an expensive purchase. Actress Sunny Leone is now a proud owner of a 4,365 sq ft swanky apartment in Mumbai’s Andheri suburb. She has purchased it for Rs 16 crore. According to reports, this attracted a stamp duty of Rs 48 lakh and was registered on March 28. However, the lady is not going to move to her new apartment any soon. We hear that the flat is on the 12th floor in project Atlantis and is currently under construction. Sunny is said to have bought the flat under her real name Karenjit Kaur Vohra.
Now, you would think that while the country struggles under the lockdown, why did Sunny go ahead and make such an expensive purchase. So let us tell you that by buying a super luxury home in the times of Covid-19 Sunny only proves that she is not just an unapologetic, uninhibited actress but also a smart woman with an enviable business sense. Now, why we say that? Do you recall that the Maharashtra state government had announced a reduction in stamp duty charges to 2% from 5% from September to December-end? Well, the stamp duty was charged at 3% of the agreement value between January and March 31 and looks like, Sunny Leone made the purchase in time to make the most of this reduction. How cool na?
Now, all we really hope is to see the glimpse of her new home soon. On the work front, Sunny had been shooting for Splitsvilla 12 with Rannvijay Singha in Kerala. She recently posted a throwback picture from the sets in Kerala and confessed that she is missing being goofy on the sets. However, she used the hashtags #StayAtHome and #BreakTheChain , urging her fans to stay safe during the times when we find our way through the second wave of Covid-19.

She also recently announced her next South Indian film ‘Shero’ which will be helmed by Malayalam filmmaker Sreejith Vijayan. It is said to be a psychological thriller with Sunny Leone in the lead role.
