I attended the launch of Splitsvilla 8 yesterday and couldn't help but notice that Sunny looked a bit sad and tired, as compared to the last launch of season 7. I wonder what's the reason....
Sunny Leone was seen as the sizzling and glamorous host of MTV Splitsvilla 7 last year. The beauty is all set to repeat the stint, this time with MTV's popular VJ Rannvijay Singha. I was given the opportunity to attend the launch of Splitsvilla 8 last night and saw Sunny doing all her celeb duties- photo ops, answering questions from the media, smiling for the shutterbugs, so on and so forth. Though Sunny was beaming and putting up a happy front, it came across as pretence and I got a strong feeling that the beauty was sad or upset about something.
The actress has been embroiled in tons of controversies of late. Be it her film Mastizaade getting rejected for certification, FIRs getting registered against her, or the beauty becoming a victim of some nasty comments by Celina Jaitley and Rakhi Sawant, Sunny has constantly been in the news for some menace or the other. However, through all this, Sunny has held her own and dealt with it in the most mature way possible. But there comes a time for every person, where he or she wishes to simply NOT deal with things and take a break. Yesterday, I felt that Sunny was maybe experiencing the same emotions. She seemed tired, and appeared to be doing things for the sake of it. Was her heart in it? I doubt.
When I compare this launch to the last one, I'm of the opinion that Sunny was in her element the last time and was way more cheerful, upfront and candid. Maybe this time, she was a little guarded, thinking that some controversial questions will be shot her way.
Or was it something else? I'm not sure. All I can say is that when I saw Sunny last night, I could somehow relate to what she was going through. The actress is one of the most honest, humble and grounded celebrities I have come across. She is often telling people, "It'll be okay." If at all the beauty is going through a rough phase as I imagine from last night's events, I wish to tell her the same thing.
I believe it's high time people leave her alone. Commenting on her work is valid but making personal remarks is not. Sunny, you are awesome so please stay that way.
P.S: Note that this article is purely on the basis of what I saw and felt last night. It isn't factual. For all I know, it's all in my head and Sunny was as cheerful as one can get!
