Delhi boy, Suraj Sharma, made a huge name for himself when he debuted in Life of Pi. Since then, he has shot for a few films while learning filmmaking at the Tisch School of the Arts (New York). He also made his Bollywood debut with Anushka Sharma’s Phillauri recently. However, he is currently focusing on his Hollywood career. But after Donald Trump became the President of the United States, things have certainly changed and Suraj has also faced the heat. Not only have restrictions been imposed on Indians working in America, but racism has grown.
When Suraj was asked if he faced any untoward situation in America, the actor revealed to DNA After Hrs, "Yes, racism for sure. Like someone would just say, 'Go back to your country, Sand Enwood.' That’s become a very normal thing, especially when you go outside New York. You have to deal with it sometimes. Most people are really nice and try to overcompensate for everybody else." But the surprising part is that Suraj never faced such an incident before Trump came in power. As he mentioned to the daily, "No! I never really faced it then. People became more vocal about it after Trump." (ALSO READ - Oscars 2017: Celebs protest Donald Trump's travel ban by wearing blue ribbon)
