Actors Surbhi Jyoti and Shoaib Ibrahim have been roped in to play lead roles in forthcoming TV thriller “Koi Laut Ke Aya Hai”. According to a statement from channel Star Plus, “Koi Laut Ke Aya Hai” – based on reincarnation – is expected to bring an intriguing story with the twist of a thriller on the small screen. Before this Surbhi Jyoti was seen in Star Plus’ hit show Ishqbaaz, where she played the role of Mallika. Surbhi gained limelight from Zee TV’s mega hit show ‘Qu bool Hai’, portraying the character of Zoya. Actress is also doing web series ‘Tanhaiyaan’ with Barun Sobti directed by Gul Khan. Surbhi is dating TV actor Varun Toorkey from last few months. Shoaib on the other hand has been playing the role of ‘Prem’ in Colors TV’s famous show ‘Sasural Simar Ka’.
Thrilling finite series seem to be the latest buzzword in town. Colors is also coming up with a detective thriller series titled Dev Anand as per reports. Star Plus' offering POW-Bandi Yuddh Ke was also a thriller cum human drama. While we have had thrilling crime shows like Crime Patrol, Code Red and Savdhaan India, exploring suspense in a fictional set-up is the new idea. The casting for the show also seems to be good. Surbhi and Shoaib make for a great-looking pair. The Sasural Simar Ka has been missing from TV for some time now and it will be nice to see him in a fresh story.
