The death of Sushant Singh Rajput is being investigated by the CBI. Since two days, there are reports that the agency might file a case under Section 302. Well, that means Punishment For Murder. Republic TV has reported that this decision will be taken by CBI director, Rishi Kumar Shukla. It seems he will sign the file and take final call. Tomorrow, we will get to know what the AIIMS report says. From what has come out in the media, it looks like it will be declared as a homicide. We have to first understand under what conditions can the CBI press for Section 302 that implies murder.

The two things that have left a question mark are the ligature marks on the neck and time of death. It seems time of death is missing in the post-mortem report. Also, the ligature marks are unusual for someone who has hanged himself. The CFSL team is double-checking every bit of evidence that they managed to get. We have seen a number of testimonies from a number of people. While Rhea Chakraborty, Samuel Miranda and Dipesh Sawant are in jail under the Narcotics Control Act, Neeraj has gone to Delhi. There are rumours that Keshav has been employed by Sara Ali Khan.

Yesterday, Republic carried a news where a man named Vivekanand Gupta, who is a BJP secretary claimed that Sushant Singh Rajput indeed met Rhea Chakraborty on the night of June 13, 2020. This is a new revelation and kind of changes the narrative. While the staff has mentioned that there was no party on June 13, 2020, one statement is a little surprising. His neighbour said the lights were off quite early around 10.30 pm. She said that generally the lights in his room would be lit till 4 am. The exact circumstances of June 13, 2020 holds the key to the case.
