The CBI has launched a proper investigation into the demise of Sushant Singh Rajput. The actor was found hanging at his Bandra residence on June 14, 2020. After the Supreme Court transferred the case to the CBI, a team of five officers came down to Mumbai. The forensic evidence has been sent for further study to Delhi. A panel of doctors from AIIMS is looking at the postmortem report and its videography. Today, the CBI called Rhea Chakraborty at the DRDO office. Showik Chakraborty, Dipesh Sawant, Neeraj and Rhea Chakraborty are all being interrogated in separate rooms by the cops. However, Siddharth Pithani has been taken to the CBI Headquarters in Mumbai. There are rumours that he has agreed to turn Government approver in the case.
After five days of intense grilling, Siddharth Pithani told the cops that on June 9, 2020 a group of people came and cleaned eight hard disks from the actor's laptop. It is being said that Pithani told the cops that he was threatened as well. Now, reports are coming on Republic that he has revealed more about June 13, 2020. It seems the CBI has taken Siddharth Pithani to its headquarters. He is being questioned separately. In the mean time, the Narcotics Control Bureau is investigating the dealing of a drug cartel.
In yesterday's interview, Rhea Chakraborty said that she does not believe that Siddharth Pithani said something to this effect to the CBI. She said she has nothing to hide in the matter. As per Times Now, the Narcotics Control Bureau is not happy with her decision to give interviews before the probe. She has said that Pithani knew Sushant Singh Rajput from his college days. The family has alleged that they are hiding something. Yesterday, it was reported by Times Now that his sister has also shared a couple of pictures of the dead body with the investigating agency.
