The tragic demise of Sushant Singh Rajput has sent shockwaves across the nation as we saw many Bollywood celebs sharing heartbreaking posts on social media to express their grief for the late actor. Now, as per the Mirror Now report, Mumbai Police is likely to record the statement of filmmaker Shekhar Kapur, who was earlier supposed to collaborate with SSR for a film titled Paani. During a recent Instagram session with Manoj Bajpayee, Shekhar revealed that Sushant was very excited for this project and would enthusiastically attend all the meetings with the producers and team. The film was supposed to be produced by YRF but the banner opted out saying they don't want to work with Sushant.

"Paani, producers ne kaha, ‘Hum nahi banayenge Sushant ke saath. Paani nahi banegi.’ Kuch aur film koshish karke bana leta, woh nahi kiya. Main bahar chale gaya Hindustan se. Gussa, naraaz ho gaya." A source added that police will investigate keeping in mind the earlier tweet of Shekhar Kapur, where he wrote, "I knew the pain you were going through. I knew the story of the people that let you down so bad that you would weep on my shoulder. I wish I was around the last 6 months. I wish you had reached out to me. What happened to you was their Karma. Not yours"
Shekhar's yesterday tweet reads, “Naming few people has no value. They themselves are products and victims of a ‘system’ everyone is protesting against. If you really care, if you’re really angry, then bring down the system. Not the individual. That’s guerilla warfare. Not a spurt of anger. #SushantSinghRajput”. The report also suggests that police will also record the statement of Rhea Chakraborty. Recently, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey has also urged for a judicial action for the production houses, who boycotted the late actor under 'abetment to suicide.'
