We had written about Ayushmann Khurrana and Tabu signing Sriram Raghavan’s next but grapevine has it, the film was offered to Sushant Singh Rajput earlier, but he turned it down. Our khabru says, “Sriram has been keen to work with Sushant since some time. When he went to meet the actor, Sushant had expressed interest in the film but later opted out giving some vague reasons. He will start shooting for Chanda Mama Door Ke shortly and perhaps there was a date clash but it seems his attitude has upset the filmmaker. Earlier Varun Dhawan and Harshvardhan Kapoor too had opted out of the thriller.” Also Read: Sushant Singh Rajput’s Chandamama Door Ke is inspired by Apollo 11 mission – here’s proof
Talking about Chanda Mama Door Ke , there was a buzz that the story has been inspired by the Apollo 11 mission, the space flight that took Humans to the Moon for the first time. But the director cleared the air when he said this,"Our story isn’t based on anyone in particular but is inspired by multiple incidents that occurred in the past. It traces the journey of India’s space programme and culminates with the country’s first astronaut landing on the moon in 2017-18.” Since the film is futuristic in design, it can't be based on the mission. The film also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and R Madhavan. In fact quite recently, Sushant and Madhavan expressed their excitement about getting to work with the other. But before Chanda Mama Door Ke, we have Raabta opposite Kriti Sanon to look forward to.
The film recently wrapped up with a song shot in Golden Temple in Amritsar on February 15. The director wanted to shoot there because he a big believer of this prestigious temple. It's a high octane song - Sadda Move composed by Pritam and choreographed by Ahmed Khan. Raabta also stars Deepika Padukone. The film is a love story about dreams destinies. The film is all set to release on June 9.
