The demise of Sushant Singh Rajput has been one of the most shocking tragedies of modern times. With various news channels doing expose investigations, people are confused if the probe done by the Mumbai Police is a fair one or not. One of the key components in the investigation is the digital evidence. After his demise, we heard that Rhea Chakraborty had allegedly taken his laptop, medical records and hard disks with her when she left the house on June 8, 2020. Now, a report has come out on Times Now that the Mumbai Police submitted the actor's phone three weeks after his demise. This was told to the channel by sources in the administration department. It seems the forensics refused to accept the phone initially and asked the cops the reason behind the delay. Later, they took the phone.
Now, a report has also come on Times Now on how the Mumbai Police is refusing to hand over the actor's phone to the ED. The organisation has taken the mobile phones of Rhea Chakraborty, a couple of them as well as those of Showik and their father, Indrajit Chakraborty. Her laptop is also with the ED. It has been established that a sum of Rs 15 crore is missing from one of the actor's HDFC accounts but it has not been transferred directly to any of Rhea Chakraborty's accounts. They are trying to find the financial trail.
Money seems to be a prominent matter in the case. Sushant had said he is not someone who bothers a lot about money. He mentioned this to Anupama Chopra. Manager Shruti Modi told the ED that all his professional and financial transactions were managed by Rhea Chakraborty. It seems earlier his sister, Priyanka Singh who is a lawyer was managing his finances. The actor was also working on a couple of patents and fans want to know what happened to them.
