"There are so many things said about plunging necklines, lekin kya kabhi socha hai how much cleavage is good cleavage?" It's Women's Day today and to celebrate womanhood, Swara Bhaskar and Taapsee Pannu have come together for an empowering video. Women always have to endure futile restrictions and there is a list of dos and don'ts to be adhered to every time they step out. A woman's dressing style and the length of her clothes has always been a topic of discussion, often being blamed for 'attracting attention' and 'causing rapes and molestation.' And if clothes are the culprit, a plunging neckline is the ultimate villain as it is sure to fetch you all the attention in the world. So, how much cleavage is actually good cleavage and is there even a thing like 'good cleavage'?
In this video, Swara and Taapsee talk about how women are expected to cover their cleavage wherever they go - be it in the office, an evening party at the club or even the gym. So they talk about all these instances when women head out to work or to the gym and share some tips for women on how to dress up "right." Because you know, you have a cleavage and you definitely cannot afford to have a peek- a- boo(b) moment, right? Because others are allowed to look at you with those lustful eyes but you.. you are definitely not allowed to 'show off' anything. While the video drips with sarcasm all through, the actresses also put it in words for those who might not get the message loud and clear. The video ends with a hard-hitting message where they go on to say, "We are women, we are born with it. If you have it, flaunt it." Bang on! Every woman should celebrate her body and wear what she wants to wear without bothering about how others will look at it. This International Women's Day, I urge you to watch this video and get inspired.
