Makers of Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah claim that Bhavya Pandit couldn't act like a college student or a grown up in the show.

The famous Tapu aka Bhavya Gandhi of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasmah has quit the show claiming that he is looking for better opportunities. However, the makers of the show have some other tale to tell! Asit Kumarr Modi has stated that despite constant efforts, Bhavya was unable to act as a college student or a grown up! Yes, that's what the maker has to say on this sudden exit of the actor. There have been reports about Bhavya Gandhi aka Tapu quitting Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasmah to pursue a career in films. He also claimed that his character in the show had stagnated.

He says, “Bhavya was part of the show for eight years and has grown up with it. As the show progressed naturally, he was shown as a college going kid. However, Bhavya couldn’t act as a college student or a grown-up. The director was wondering how to develop the character because he didn’t change his technique. So, he asked him to brush up on his skills. However, he opted to take up a Gujarati film instead.” Damn, fans are surely going to be upset after reading this.

Just recently his mother issued a statement claiming that the actor has decided to quit the show for better opportunities. Ever since the genesis of the show, Bhavya has been a pivotal part of it. But looks like now the makers will have to scout for a new Tapu. His role was very well received by the audience who completely enjoyed his performance.
