The film is said to be produced by Karan Johar.

Oopiri was one of the finest films to release in Telugu film industry this year, and its female lead, the very beautiful Tamannaah Bhatia has won a lot of adulation for her charming performance.

The official remake of the classic French film, The Intouchables, the film stars Akkineni Nagarjuna and Karthi in the lead roles as well, and the story is about the bond between a paraplegic rich man and his boorish caretaker. Tamannaah Bhatia plays the secretary to the rich man, and also the love interest to the care-taker.

The critical and commercial success of the film had caught the attention of the bigwigs from the other film industries, especially Bollywood. If we believe certain rumours that has been floating around, it's said that Karan Johar has purchased the rights of the film, and could recast Tamannaah in the same role she had played in the original.

If this turns out to be true, then this would be a huge boost to her Bollywood career, which has been flagging since the failures of the last few Hindi films. However the super success of Baahubali, incidentally also backed by Karan Johar, has brought the actress in into fresh spotlight, and with Oopiri's success, she is now in high demand.
