The comedian ends up in a not so funny situation
Legendary Kollywood comedian Senthil has entertained us all for a very long time. After being an integral part of Tamil cinema for almost 30 years, he shifted to acting in TV serials and later on took an active participation in politics. But now it looks like he has become the butt end of the jokes and he is not too happy about it.
After falling prey to WhatsApp trolls for the second time in a month, veteran Tamil actor Senthil is not in the mood to let go of the matter easily. Senthil, who campaigned actively for AIADMK during the May 16 assembly polls, lodged a complaint with the City Police Commissioner seeking action against those who had spread rumours through social media and Whatsapp that he was dead. The actor told reporters that he was upset over the message on Whatsapp. "Many people contacted me and informed me about the message that has spread to different areas," he said. Senthil believes that a political party, which is not happy with the election result is spreading the rumour. He wants the police officials to take severe action against such rumour-mongers.
Of course, it is sad and unacceptable to spread death hoaxes, but that is the occupational hazard of being a celebrity. Many big names likes Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan and many others have suffered through this. We hope that Senthil's aggressive action puts these disturbing trends to an end.
