The actor spills some beans at an audio launch function

All of Suriya's fans and Kollywood moviegoers are eager about any news about Suriya's sci-fi thriller 24. Now the actor himself has made an amazing revelation. At the audio launch function of his brother Karthi's Thozha, the handsome star surprised everyone as he announced that the official teaser of his upcoming film 24 will be unveiled on the first week of March, that is this week to be exact. This news caught everyone completely off guard, but the surprise has quickly turned to excitement. He has also tweeted that it will be released on Friday exactly at 6 pm. Suriya has had a very good 2015, with Mass and Pasanga 2 both doing very well at the box office. So the actor has even bigger plans this year with his time travel movie, 24, followed by the third installment of the Singam franchise S3, later in the year. 24 stars Suriya, along with Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Nithya Menen. The movie is directed by Vikram Kumar, who gave us the nail biting horror flick, Yavarum Nalam. Interestingly, the idea of 24 has been floating around for a long time, dating as far back as 2009.

Back in 2009, actor Vikram and Ileana D'Cruz were in talks with Vikram Kumar about the film. But sadly, some differences cropped up between the director, producer and the actor and the project was dropped. Then finally in 2014, Suriya expressed interest in the project and even agreed to produce the movie. And that is how 24 came into being.

Isai Puyal AR Rahman is composing the music for 24 and the film is expected to release tentatively on April 14, 2016.
