Yesterday we had reported to you that Kangana Ranaut-starrer biopic on the life of the late former actress and Tamil Nadu chief Jayalalithaa, had been kept on hold as a result of lack of funds. But that all now seems to be a hoax. The film is very much in the process and the Kangana is currently prepping for the role. We have a new development on the same front after the delayed report. And mind you, the film has a connection to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Apparently the makers have roped in a Hollywood prosthetics expert for Kangana's role in the film.
The film which is titled Thalaivi is all set to release next year. Vishnu Induri who is the producer of the film gave a statement to the press in which he revealed that they are working towards Kangana's avatars. "Kangana has four looks spanning different ages in the film and we need good amount of pre-production for that. We have roped in Hollywood make-up artists for Kangana’s makeover," he said.
The producer took to his Twitter handle to announce that same. His Tweet read, "#ThalaiviUpdate: Kangana has four looks spanning different ages in the film and we have roped in Hollywood Make up artist Jason Collins for Kangana’s makeover. #Thalaivi #KanganaRanaut." For those not in the know, Jason Collins is the same guy who has done prosthetics work in movies like Captain Marvel, Blade Runner and Hunger Games.

Earlier, the producer had refuted the rumours about the film being shelved. He called it very disheartening. Thalaivi is being helmed by AL Vijay and the film will narrate Jayalalithaa’s journey right from being from a young girl to becoming the chief minister of Tamil Nadu.
