Thalapathy Vijay's next with director Atlee to go on floors in January 2019

After the grand success of Sarkar, the megastar of the Tamil industry Thalapathy Vijay will kickstart the shooting of his next project from January 2019. The pre-production of the film has officially started from today with a small pooja. The untitled venture is most likely to bankrolled by AGS productions. As the director and actor jodi has previously delivered two blockbusters (Theri and Mersal), we are expecting them to complete their hattrick with this film.

Apparently, Thalapathy Vijay's last year blockbuster Mersal will release in China in 2019 and will be the first Tamil, which will cater to the Chinese audience. Mersal, which starred Kajal Aggarwal, Samantha Akkineni and Nithya Menen in pivotal, was the first film of Thalapathy Vijay which crossed the Rs 200 crore mark at the global box office.

Talking about his latest film, Sarkar, which was directed by AR Murugadoss, has crossed the Rs 200 crore benchmark at the global market. With this feat, Vijay has become the second Tamil actor to have 2 Rs 200 crore films globally after Thalaivar Rajinikanth (Enthiran and Kabali). The team of Sarkar threw a party at Kovalam to celebrate the film's success. They had a cake with figurines of mixer-grinder and the electoral finger.
