Riteish gives out a brilliant message with this rap song
Ganpati Festival is just around the corner. Mumbai is gearing up again to celebrate its favourite festival in all its glory. And so are our Bollywood celebs. Riteish Deshmukh has appeared in a special song for Ganesh Utsav and it has impressed our B-town celebs.
The song is titled Thank God Bappa and was released on Youtube today. The song is a quirky and inspiration take on the festival. It has Riteish rapping and thanking Bappa for not being like us humans - you know selfish, uncaring and all. The video ends with a message that how we disregard Bappa right a day after Visarjan by letting their idols pollute the area. Though inspirational, the video is absolutely on preachy but is crooned in a fun way. That is best thing about it. Ritesh's quirky antics will keep you hooked to the video.
Bollywood Twitteratis took the micro blogging website to appreciate the song.
Huma Qureshi wrote "Congrats @Riteishd and @geneliad such a lovely message #ThankGodBappa"
Sujoy Ghosh says "RD the rapper ! not a bad @Riteishd :)"
Varun Dhawn took to Twitter and said "@Riteishd this is amazing. #ThankGodBappa. This #ganpati show your Bhakti not shakti"
Daisy Shah said "This is so cool! Correctly said with a swag #ThankGodBappa"
Karan Johar wrote "#ThankGodBappa @Riteishd what a brilliant track....unique,devotional and magical!"
Taapsee Pannu says "This the coolest thing around @Riteishd #ThankGodBappa wonderfully presented and performed"
Thank God Bappa has been produced by none other than Riteish's wife Genelia D'Souza. What a great team! Aren't they? The music video has been directed by Kapil Sawant. The music has been beautifully composed by Amar Magrulkar. The quirky lyrics are by Kapil. Riteish has done a fantastic job with rapping the fun number.
Thank God Bappa is not the only song that Riteish has come out for Ganpati. Just a few days ago he released a Ganpati special song from his upcoming film Banjo. The song titled Bappa is oozing with the festive spirit. The actors plays a banjo player in the film who forms a music band with Nargis Fakhri. In the video of the song composed by Vishal and Shekhar we see Riteish dancing around the Ganesh tableau.
Riteish is not the only one in the festive mood for Ganpati. Quantico star Priyanka Chopra also took to her social media to share the songs from her upcoming production venture Ventilator and guess what! Both songs are in honour of Lord Ganesha. Clearly, the coming days will be devoted in the name of Ganpati.
