It's not knew when you learn about certain actors walking out TV shows due to creative differences with the production team or other personal reasons. Thapki Pyar Ki actress Shrashti Maheshwari recently did the same, after claiming that she was mentally harassed by her production team. While talking about the same to a popular entertainment portal, the actress said," I quit the show because I was mentally harassed. I was promised a a bigger role in the show, but that never turned out to be. I was not treated well by the producer and director of the show. Even when I quit the show, they warned me that I will never get any work offers from the channel that airs this show, henceforth."
The actress went on to state that she wasn't provided a drop home or pick up facility, despite it being stated clearly by CINTAA(Cine And TV Artistes Association) that female employees should be provided with the same. Shrashti has even filed a complaint against the issue. "Yes, a complaint has been filed by the actress. We have heard both sides and we are looking into the matter," confirmed Joint Secretary and Chairman Dispute Committee of CINTAA, Amit Behl, while speaking with the portal.
Dheeraj Sarna, who is the writer and producer of Thapki has a different story to tell. According to him, the actress's statement about being mentally harassed is baseless."There are other women too who are working on the show and they don't have any issues. Shrashti's track was planned for 15 episodes, yet it got extended and she was in the show around 60 episodes. In fact, she had even gone ahead and signed another show, which is against the contract, and did not bother to inform us about it. All this talk of mental harassment is baseless because she never complained to me about it," he informed the portal.
