The film, third in the Robert Langdon series, is directed by Ron Howard.
After the visually mesmerising but a commercial failure, In The Heart of The Sea, Ron Howard returns to adapting Dan Brown's highly successful novels on screen, with Tom Hanks reprising his role of the James Bond-ian symbologist, Robert Langdon. Ron Howard had directed both the previous films of the franchise, The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons.
The film in the series is Inferno, Dan Brown's latest novel in the Langdon series, that brings him right into Florence, after his misadventures in Vatican and Paris. Felicity Jones, of The Theory of Everything and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 fame, will play the key female lead. However, Indians will be more excited about the film because the movie will also star Irrfan Khan, who is playing the Provost, an important character with shades of grey. The last Hollywood film Irrfan Khan was a part of was Jurassic World, and you know what a super profitable venture it was. Perhaps, knowing his pull among the Indian audiences, the makers of Inferno are releasing the movie in India on October 24, as it is said in the first poster of the film. This is at least two weeks before the US release date!
Apart from these above stars, the film will also have Omar Sy and Ben Foster.
