The Ghazi Attack, which released last Friday, has collected Rs 2.4 crore all across India on day 6 of its release. The film has received some rave reviews but somehow the box office numbers don't to justice to the fantastic storyline of the film. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share the figures of the film. This is how the collection of the film has been so far... The Hindi version of the film has managed to collect Rs 10.85 crore at the box office while the total collections of all versions stands at Rs 24.95 crore within six days of its release. Since the word-of-mouth is strong we can only hope that the film's collections improve in the coming days. But with Shahid Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut and Saif Ali Khan-starrer Rangoon releasing this Friday it is very likely that The Ghazi Attack's box office numbers might get affected.
Despite the positive word-of-mouth, the Hindi version of the film has been performing only average whereas the Tamil and Telugu versions have collected pretty decent amount.
For those of you not in the know, The Ghazi Attack is based on the mysterious sinking of the Pakistani submarine PNS Ghazi during Indo-Pakistan War of 1971. It stars Rana Dagubatti, Tapsee Pannu, Atul Kulkarni and KK Menon. Rana features as Lieutenant Commander Arjun Varma in the film, who was part of a mission conducted by the Indian Navy against the Pakistani naval force in 1971. Varma is said to have remained underwater for 18 days during the war. The movie, helmed by Sankalp Reddy, comes strongly recommended from the audience and critics alike.
